New features introduced in WhatsApp’s Android ™ Version.

To make texting more interesting and handy, messenger service WhatsApp has introduced some new features in its Android version that include text selection toolbar for changing fonts and an emoji search option.

According to a report in Android Police on Monday, WhatsApp version 2.17.148 for Android has a floating text toolbar to let users change to various font types.

In order to change the font style, one needs to select the text, tap on the overflow button or three dots in the toolbar and choose from bold, italic, strikethrough or monospace options and it will change the style instantly.
“This reduces the need for users to remember all the symbols required to make texting on WhatsApp interesting,” the report said.
Second is the new emoji search option for Android which was until now available for iOS. The emoji search icon is on the bottom left and works well.
“ These have been live for at least a few WhatsApp beta versions. But in case you don’t, you can grab the latest beta from APK Mirror or by joining the official Play Store beta programme and waiting for the app to update automatically,” the report added.
